La crypto, ou cryptomonnaie, c\u2019est, selon <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cryptomonnaie\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wikip\u00e9dia<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">une monnaie num\u00e9rique \u00e9mise de pair \u00e0 pair (actif num\u00e9rique), sans n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de banque centrale, utilisable au moyen d&rsquo;un r\u00e9seau informatique d\u00e9centralis\u00e9. Elle utilise des technologies de cryptographie et associe l&rsquo;utilisateur aux processus d&rsquo;\u00e9mission et de r\u00e8glement des transactions<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Cette cryptomonnaie repose syst\u00e9matiquement sur une technologie de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blockchain<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, comme un gigantesque livre de comptes consultable par tous et qui r\u00e9pertorie et g\u00e8re, pour faire simple, l\u2019ensemble des transactions qui ont eu lieu avec cette monnaie depuis sa cr\u00e9ation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En somme, c\u2019est comme s\u2019il existait un outil consultable par tous dans chaque banque, et permettant d\u2019avoir une vue transparente sur l\u2019ensemble des comptes et des transactions des clients. C\u2019est un des attraits de cette technologie, mais cela va bien \u00e9videmment beaucoup plus loin. C&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire que si quelqu\u2019un avait achet\u00e9 pour 1000 dollars de Bitcoin durant l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 2013, il se retrouvait avec quasiment 8000 dollars en novembre. Aujourd\u2019hui, si cette personne avait conserv\u00e9 ses Bitcoins &#8211; et nous ne sommes pas au plus haut du march\u00e9 &#8211; elle aurait \u00e0 sa disposition environ 330 000 dollars, sans les int\u00e9r\u00eats potentiellement g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s. \u00c0 cette \u00e9poque et malheureusement pour moi, je n\u2019avais ni des dons en divination, ni le moindre sou \u00e0 investir. Mon niveau de connaissance du sujet devait \u00eatre similaire \u00e0 la grande majorit\u00e9 des gens : faible, voire inexistant. J\u2019avais d\u2019autres priorit\u00e9s et occupations dans la vie que de m\u2019int\u00e9resser \u00e0 une obscure technologie cr\u00e9\u00e9e par <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Satoshi_Nakamoto\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">un inconnu<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> et qui semblait \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque peu utile.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quelques ann\u00e9es s\u2019\u00e9coulent avant que je sois replong\u00e9 dans le sujet par Fred qui, lui, s\u2019\u00e9tait int\u00e9ress\u00e9 \u00e0 la chose de plus pr\u00e8s. Courant 2016 &#8211; 2017 je d\u00e9couvre par son interm\u00e9diaire <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ethereum\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ethereum<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, un nouveau protocole utilisant la technologie <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blockchain <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">et dot\u00e9 de sa propre cryptomonnaie, l\u2019Ether. Ce nouveau protocole a de particulier qu\u2019il introduit ce que l\u2019on appelle des <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Contrat_intelligent\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">smarts contracts<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (ou contrats intelligents), des protocoles informatiques qui facilitent, v\u00e9rifient et ex\u00e9cutent la n\u00e9gociation ou l&rsquo;ex\u00e9cution d&rsquo;un contrat. Cela peut \u00eatre une transaction de crypto entre deux utilisateurs, ou la vente d\u2019un NFT (je reviendrai sur cet acronyme plus tard) par exemple. En bref, la technologie <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blockchain<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> d\u2019Ethereum est plus simple et plus actionnable que celle du Bitcoin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Je vous l\u2019ai dit, je n\u2019y comprenais rien. Mais engaillardi apr\u00e8s avoir vu et revu <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le Loup de Wall Street <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">et<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Big Short<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, je voyais bien que, comme le Bitcoin, il y avait un fort potentiel de croissance pour Ethereum ou l\u2019autre protocole qui arriverait \u00e0 d\u00e9fier la toute puissance du Bitcoin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fred, lui aussi, l\u2019avait compris.
